Friend multiplayer is great when you already have someone to invite. Online Mode is for when you want a match now: open Online Mode, choose one or more leagues, and wait to be matched with another player searching at the same time.
When a match is found, you both join the same football tic-tac-toe board and take turns placing real footballers at club intersections — the same rules, with a live opponent.
Your league selection shapes the board. Shared leagues mean a fairer matchup, so Online Mode looks for opponents with overlapping choices before starting the game.
Every correct answer claims a cell; wrong answers and timeouts keep the pace high. After the match you can rematch or return to the lobby for another online football multiplayer game.
